John Calvin's Writings

Welcome to Bartalonis

Bartalonis will serve several functions. This site will be a place where I can store the Bible, creeds, confessions, and writings of the great theologians. It will serve as a place of independent study where I can store my favourite Bible verses and study notes in an organized and searchable format as well as my list of links to other Bible study resources on the internet. However, it's primary function will be to provide a place where I can experiment with ways to present this information on the internet in a format that is both attractive and enjoyable.

I am very fortunate in having the priveledge and distinct honor to be involved with a group of Christians in founding a non-profit corporation called the Light After Darkness Foundation. We have created a website known by that name and its primary purpose will be to spread the Light of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout the utter darkness of this chaotic and fallen world.

My primary function with the LAD foundation is to maintain and develop the LAD website. I am relatively a newcomer to web devopement but everyone must begin somewhere and I shall do my best to perform satisfactorily in the LAD endeavor because I believe that it is something the Lord has called me to do. LAD will become a lifetime labor of love for it's founders, including myself and if we develope it for the glory of God rather than for our own glory then I believe the Lord will work through us and the Holy Spirit will guide us in our work. If we glorify God then I believe God will bless our efforts and enrich our lives as well.

Bartalonis will therefore be in a constant state of flux because it will be used to experiment with different techniques and methods that I would not want to tryout first on the LAD site. What is viewable on the Bartalonis site may only be a tenth of what is happening behind the scenes.

I want to thank Tom Bailey who was the original designer of the LAD site and who is still the official Webmaster. Tom has always been very helpful and patient with me as I learn the ropes. Tom has his own internet deveopment company known as TJBailey Internet Services. I call him the Web Doc. He is a man of integrity and I have grown to admire and respect him very much. If any of you are in need of a website or advice concerning a website then I highly recomend Tom's company. So please do visit Tom's web-site where you can see his portfolio.

If any of my Christian brothers and sisters come here then you are welcome to use whatever you like and enjoy your visit. However, I encourage you to visit Light After Darkness where we will be involved in the coming years in developing what we hope will become a wonderful Christian resource.

God Bless you all,

Bartalonis

A good soldier of Christ will find time everyday to study the Word of God. He will also learn the great doctrines that are contained in the Bible and meditate on the correct ways to adopt them to his life.

The Soldier of Christ

6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Eph 6
